Amnesty uses Human Right's Abusers venue to host Conference.

Saturday, 7 April 2012.11:00 until 17:00.. At the third annual Middle Tennessee Amnesty International-USA-Human Rights Conference, we will feature speakers on four issues of local and international concern: alternatives to the death penalty, supporting prisoners of conscience, human trafficking, and immigrant righ...ts. The event will be held from 11 AM to 5 PM in the Community Room at 1130 8th Ave. S. in a venue graciously donated by the Church of Scientology.

Speakers at the workshops will be:

1. Stacy Rector, Executive Director of Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty.

2. Suzanne Wright, Chair of the Amnesty USA China Coordination Group.

3. Cecilia Gomez, Director of Free for Life Hispanic Outreach Programs.

4. Avi Poster, Coordinator of the Coalition for Education about Immigration.
