Scientologists Accused of Animal Abuse

Would church members resort to killing pets to intimidate opponents?
EXCLUSIVE TO THE SPOTLIGHT BY THE SPOTLIGHT STAFF
Critics of the Church of Scientology are beginning to believe that the cult is now adopting animal abuse as one way of harassing its critics. Former Scientologist Arnie Lerma, now one of Scientology's most prominent critics, recently cited several instances which he and others believe can be traced to Scientology.
• One woman, Enid Vein, had her cat shot when she became embroiled in a legal battle involving Scientology. Miss Vein was forced to settle after she ran out of money, but Miss Vein has not spoken anything about the animal's death since the settlement of the case.
"I suppose not saying anything about her cat being shot was part of the settlement," Lerma speculates.
• Lerma found his own cat with its throat cut, but Lerma was able to nurse the little fellow back to health. This incident took place when Lerma himself was also being sued by Scientology for having exposed its doctrines on the Internet.
• The judge in a federal criminal case against Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, found his miniature collie drowned in his pool.
• Robert S. Minton, a wealthy businessman who has become a critic of Scientology (even though he is not a former Scientologist himself) found what he called "a dead, but otherwise healthy looking cat" on his doorstep. Minton has been providing financing for lawsuits against Scientology by its critics, in particular in the case of Lisa McPherson who died mysteriously while in the "care" of Scientology.
FIGHT MONEY WITH MONEY
• Another former high-ranking Scientologist, Robert Vaughn Young -a former national spokesman for the cult, until he and his wife left in disgust- has suffered harassment by the church.
The Youngs established a popular "foster home" for abused and homeless cats and dogs in the Seattle, Washington area that saved animals from extermination by the city pound. They have adopted out nearly 500 kittens, cats and a few dogs. However, Scientology agents began harassing his animal sanctuary by trying to have it closed down. According to Young, David Lee, a private investigator working for Los Angeles-based investigator Eugene Ingram, who has long been associated with Kendrick Moxon, Scientology's lead in-house attorney, began instigating a letter-writing and telephone campaign to Seattle City offices urging that Young's animal shelter be shut shown. This resulted in an official investigation.
"Scientology knows how important our animal rescue work is to us. They were unable to silence us so now they are seeking to find or manufacture enough threat to the innocent animals hoping we will 'shudder into silence," Young says. "I want the world to know the extremes to which this cult of thugs will go.
"Scientology already has a reputation for harassing [Internet users] as well as the media and others," be added. "Now let Scientology add a new credit to their list of abuses: innocent animals."
For his part, Minton had a surprise in store for the Scientologists. He went to the Seattle area and purchased a new property for the Young's animal shelter.
According to Minton, the Scientologists attempted to interfere with the new location, but Minton said in a posting on the Internet "Let the 'church' of $cientology be put on notice that any time they cause the Youngs' cats to meow, the Internet and animal lovers everywhere will ROAR!"

Tom Cruise and his Body Thetans

DORMANT BTs

You can wake up very dormant BTs and clusters that actually you’ve never hit on OT III – never dreamed they existed.

Many are not visible in PT. These dormant ones are not squarely in the time stream, they’re down the track a bit. You shift your attention and pull them into PT, or your attention goes a bit out of PT and there they are. They are not precisely in the time stream. This solves the mystery of how an OT III can see none, get run on some NED and it kicks them in.

It is like a whole being reviv. Dormant BTs and clusters are stuck down the track in an incident. Dormant BTs are out of PT in denyer chains (like “not there”, “can’t be there”), so they “don’t exist”, yet they do exist. If you look down the track, there they are, and if you ball them up with engram running or bad auditing, you get real trouble, as they recoil against the body.

Destruction of evidence
In early 1997 as investigators closed in, Rathbun met with church staff at Scientology offices in Hollywood, Calif. They combed the daily logs that McPherson’s caretakers kept during her 17 days at the Fort Harrison.

Three entries particularly troubled Rathbun.

One contained a bizarre sexual reference McPherson had made. Another revealed that no one thought to remove the mirror from the room of a psychotic woman bent on harming herself. The third was one caretaker’s opinion that the situation was out of control and that McPherson needed to see a doctor.
Rathbun concluded the notes had to go.

“I said, ‘Lose ’em’ and walked out of the room,” he recalled, adding that the decision to destroy the records was his own.

“Nobody told me to do it and I did it,” he said. “The truth is the truth and right now I’m going to confession, and I really think it’s something that hurt the church more than it hurt the people that were trying to get recompense.

“But it is what it is, and I know it could potentially be a crime.”

IT IS A Fucking crime..just like Susan Meister's death was a crime against humanity...and there but for the grace of god go I...hope you can live with a hundred years down the line, they are the fucking law!

I want to see Jeremy Paxman interview Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun NO holds barred!

Lawrence Wright...Remove that footnote from your book...

You used me...used me for your own purposes...and those of Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder...I refuse point blank to be any part of that.

Under Miscavige it became more severe? Really? You are talking to preople that have obviously talked you into it, Rinder, Rathbun, La Carriere. Did you talk to the notorious Gillham children, the same ones that Rathbun, Rinder and De La Carriere and Hana Eltringham will not talk about...why are they NOT talked about? Come on Lawrence, why IS that NOT talked about? Come on we are waiting!

The gillham children are not yet talked about because their statute of limitatioins hasn't quite run out yet has it, unlike yours, Marty..5 years...thats all we've got...5 years...

What about Claire Popham? What she did not excist? She did not exist did she? Figment of my imagination Huh! Your fact checking is superior, wright? Wrong? Very wrong!

Oh, It's all been shredded. How fortuitiousness!

Typically, you have touched on everything, except the real truth.

Can't wait for Louis Theroux's insanity series on the Church of Scientology, looking forward to it with relish, where no doubt we will see Karen de la Carrierre and Samantha de Mingo...in the mean time maybe you should just watch this...

For Our Children ...one mothers plea for help and I know all about it...I have been there...

So, Mike McClaughry was Guardians Office...well that's a real big deal isn't it? I grew up with Guardians Office all around me...Mary Sue Hubbard, Ollie Budlong, Jane Kember...L. Ron Hubbard...this was so wrong we changed it...Right...

Temple Secretaries

I have been hunting through companies house with regards the scientology companies which seem to crop up like they are going out of fashion, constantly bringing me back to the same names and addresses. This is how I came across Temple Secretaries, it just keeps cropping up, repeatedly and from there I found this man, Gordon Bowdon.

Is the Prime Minister/President really smart enough to steal ...

Many, though not all, have scientology related names like 'Rainbow Cottage'...'Over the rainbow. 'Winnington House'...Big Wins. Then there are the companies themselves 'ARC Conseil'...ARC - Affinity, Reality, Communication.I think you get the drift...

Now back to Gordon Bowdon...

I want to know why my sister is working along side this man...

Xavier Delamare is the former regional leader of Scientology for the South Eastern portion of France. He was convicted of fraud on November 15, 1999 and jailed. He received an eighteen-month sentence, "while four other members accused of fraud, violence and illegally practicing medicine were given suspended sentences of six months to a year".[1]

I also want to know why my sister was working for the law courts from Feb 2013 - August 2013, just a few months before Scientology got granted it's marriage license...

Some of you here, reading this might think I am dreadful, reporting on my own half sister. I don't see it that way as 'thanks to disconnection' ...L. Ron Hubbard's policy...not mine. I haven't seen her since she was 4 years old. She is well and truly a hubbardite and although I know that is NOT of her own doing...she was brought up to know nothing else. I cannot stand by and watch this going on...while you have the mafia of religions telling my country what is and is not law and buying their way into our society on the promise of big bucks, what kind of a member of society would I be, if I did not at least document it?

The Guardian's Office - Enemy Propaganda

Funnily enough I was looking at these same images yesterday and thinking WTF! Virginia has laid it bare for you....

Hamstrung by Hubbard’s usually incomplete (and therefore misleading) and mostly completely inaccurate conspiracy finger-pointing – the Guardian’s Office was guilty of actually forwarding an enemy propaganda line.

But, did the people who put together publications like Freedom magazine know this was what they were doing?

Childhood Is Not a Mental Disorder...Unless You happen to be brought up in scientology...

Scientology - Childhood is not a Mental Disorder...

...Unless of course you were brought up by L. Ron Hubbard and his scientologists...then it quite quickly becomes one...a mental disorder that is...driving people crazy since the 1950s.

Scientology IS a mental disorder...it scrambles your brain, NO drugs required, except for those that L. Ron Hubbard took, no wonder he loved Alice in Wonderland for some of the TRs (Training Routines) used to make you find sense in total nonsense...

The death of L Ron Hubbard

A Second Opinion! The Church of Scientology is loudly voicing their strong resistance to what they call "psych drugs". It is therefore ironic that the founder of Dianetics and Scientology, L Ron Hubbard, was taking a "psych drug" when he died. This is not unusual in itself, since bitter old men often go psychotic when dying. Witnesses testified that Hubbard died acting like a raving lunatic. This is from the 1983 edition of the Physician's Desk Reference, pg 1571. It was a couple years out of date when Hubbard died. Vistaril is the psych drug found in Hubbard's body.
Quote:

Vistaril®
(hydroxyzine hydrochloride)
Intramuscular Solution
For Intramuscular use Only ....
Hydroxyzine has demonstrated its clinical effectiveness in the chemotherapeutic aspect of the total management of neuroses and emotional disturbances manifested by anxiety, tension, agitation, apprehension or confusion.
....
It induces a calming effect in anxious, tense, psychoneurotic adults and also in anxious, hyperkinetic children without impairing mental alertness. It is not a cortical depressant but its action may be due to a suppression of activity in certain key regions of the subcortical area of the central nervous system.
....
Indications: The total management of anxiety, tension and psychomotor agitation in conditions of emotional stress requires in most instances a combined approach of psychotherapy and chemotherapy. Hydroxyzine has been found to be particularly useful for this latter phase in its ability to render the disturbed patient more amenable to psychotherapy in long term treatment of the psychoneurotic and psychotic although it should not be used as the sole treatment of psychosis or of clearly demonstrated cases of depression. ....
VISTARIL® (hydroxyzine hydrochloride) Intramuscular Solution is useful in treating the following type of patients when intramuscular administration is indicated:

  1. The acutely disturbed or hysterical patient.
  2. The acute or chronic alcoholic with anxiety withdrawal symptoms or delirium tremens.
  3. As pre- and postoperative and pre- and postpartum adjunctive medication to permit reduction in narcotic dosage, allay anxiety and control emesis.

According to what Hubbard's doctor told the coroner, and what the labs from the autopsy found, Hubbard had been injected with Vistaril® and only Vistaril® in a non-hospital setting. That's what you do with a psychiatrically disturbed or drug withdrawal patient. L Ron Hubbard was given Vistaril® by Dr. Gene Denk in his final days, by intramuscular injection in the right buttocks. Vistaril® is a psychiatric drug, used to calm frantic or overly anxious patients. He died on January 24th, 1986, eight days after the fatal stroke, and one day after signing his last will and testament. He died in a 1982 Blue Bird motor home, about five miles East of Creston, CA, at the very remote "Emanuel Camp". His fingernails and toenails were long and unkempt. His hair was long, thin and receding on his forehead.
David Miscavige personally arrived with documents requesting that no autopsy be performed. 13 photographs taken of his body were later destroyed at the request of Norman Starkey.
These are public documents, available from the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office. Coroner's file #8936:

Unless you are brainwashed, and you are not, are you?

No wonder Scientology says "Say NO to drugs"

So what did LRH do to people who are PTS type 3?

PTS Type 3, PTS Type III - Scientology Critical Information Directory

So, if you are PTS type three you must be connected to a Suppressive Person, right, er NO, you have finally come to your god damned senses and you KNOW this is bullshit, but by now you are totally over the edge and feel like your life has been stolen from you...YOU are right...it has.

Scientology's website says this about PTS type 3...

PTS Type III

In this case the Type II’s apparent SP (suppressive person) is spread all over the world and is often more than all the people there are-for the person sometimes has ghosts about him or demons and they are just more apparent SPs but imaginary as beings as well.

The Type III PTS is mostly found in mental institutions. He is best helped by providing a safe environment and giving him rest and quiet, and no treatment of a mental nature at all. He should receive any medical care needed that is unbrutal in nature.

Man seeing people suppressing him all around
A type III PTS is also under the influence of a suppressive from his past, but the present time environment is, to him, full of suppressives.

A person who is PTS is often the last person to suspect it. He may have become temporarily or momentarily so. And he may have become so very slightly. Or he may be very PTS and have been so for a long time. Therefore, the very first step in handling this condition is to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of the technology concerning potential trouble sources and suppressive persons so that the situation can be handled.

And it can be handled.

Basic Terms and Definitions of Suppression - Scientology Handbook

Oh, It can be handled, alright, notice my bolding above...The Type III PTS is mostly found in mental institutions.

This is scientology admitting it is a mental institution...but it is not any ordinary mental institution...it takes normal everyday people and turns them completely insane. Most mental institutions take people in who have major mental problems and try to make them better. $cientology takes NORMAL people in and makes them pay excesses of money to make them total retards.Especially celebrities...Hey, you got loads of money and you don't know what to do with it...just give it to me and we will make you SUPER HUMAN...Tom Cruise eat your heart out... Sad, but true

There is an amazing thread on ESMB...

How many people went type III (ie. had a Psychotic Break) in your org?

Quite incredible isn't it, yet I reckon it barely touches the surface...my first encounter with a type 3 PTS...a man (no other information)... I never saw him, locked in a cabin on the Apollo...yelling and banging on the cabin door for days "let me out" I was told he was nuts, yeah, so would you be on the good ship Apollo. A floating mental institution for the totally deranged...

What Judges say about the Church of Scientology

L. Ron Hubbard's PC (Pre Clear) files...

Many of the Affirmations relate to Hubbard's health problems, which were recorded at length in his Veterans Administration files; for instance:
  • "Your eyes are getting progressively better. They became bad when you used them as an excuse to escape the naval academy. You have no reason to keep them bad."
  • "Your stomach trouble you used as an excuse to keep the Navy from punishing you. You are free of the Navy."
  • "Your hip is a pose. You have a sound hip. It never hurts. Your shoulder never hurts."
  • "Your foot was an alibi. The injury is no longer needed."[13]
  •
Which reminds me...where is L. Ron Hubbard's 'CLEAR' number or Mary Sue's? When did they become Clear? When did they become OT? Even poor Quentin had a Clear number and also Diana, but L.Ron and MarySue Hubbard...silly me...I forgot, they are not from this planet...Venus? Mars? Scientology in the UK Media: Archived news item

A school and Scientologists

[picture caption: Principal Margaret Hodkin, pictured in front of Greenfields School, Forest Row]

Why the brochure will have to be changed

Greenfields calls itself an "inter-denominational" school.
We brought this to the attention of ISIS (Independent Schools Information Service) last month.

ISIS says it will now ask for the word "Scientology" to be included in the next edition of the London and South East regional handbook, which is read by thousands of parents.

Regional director Ian Ross said: "We rely on the schools to provide us with the information. We think the time is now appropriate to make a change.

Asked if he thought the current entry was misleading, he replied:
"Well, we wouldn't be attempting to change it if we felt it was satisfactory."

The move was welcomed by Wealden MP Geoffrey Johnson Smith. He told the Argus: "If the school has any links with the cult this should be made absolutely clear."

And Coun Jenny Langston, a member of East Sussex education committee, added:

"The school should be honest and open about its links so parents can make an informed decision."

Today the school, which opened 13 years ago in a former vicarage in nearby Hammerwood, has 178 pupils aged between three and 18.

Boarders are accepted from the age of ten. Care arrangements at all independent boarding schools in East Sussex are checked regularly by the county council.

Officials recently visited Greenfields.

John Windebank, head of the inspection unit, said: "The school has copies of the report and any parent or prospective parent can ask the school for a copy of that report."

But educational standards at Greenfields come under the scrutiny of the Department for Education in London. The last full inspection was in July 1985.

It can cost more than £2,682 a term to attend Greenfields.

The fees vary: Day pupil, £335 to £1,470; weekly, £2,072 to £2,480; full board, £2,272 to £2,682.

The school is a registered charity.
Greenfields opened in nearby Hammerwood in 1981 without planning permission.
Following an unsuccessful appeal to the Department of the Environment, it was forced to find a new site.
[See also the Page One Opinion from the same day's Evening Argus]

ISIS...Independent State Schools Information...get informed...you could be sending your child to Syria or Clearwater, Florida...both are CULTS with heavy indoctrination...one kills point blank...the other kills slowly, but surely...rendering you absolutely useless.I know, because that is what they did to my Father and tried to do to me.

The Digilantes

I just found this tonight...

Facebook Just REVERSED Ban Against Anonymous Group That Has Been Targeting ISIS

Just as the Anonymous #OpISIS was hitting full swing, Facebook decided to shut down the main Anonymous group page for the team hacking the living hell out of ISIS.

The page simply says “Anonymous” but the URL terms it “Cyber Brain.” The group has been run by Red Cult team members for years, along with a handful of other popular Anonymous pages and groups. But this page was one of the first places where information on #OpISIS was being posted, as soon as Counter Current News ran with it.

Our contacts in Red Cult tell us that Facebook gave no warning and no explanation for why the entire group was shut down, except to say that the entire group’s existence was a “violation” of Facebook Terms of Service and “Community Standards.”

But that was nonsense. The group was very careful not to cross any lines with Facebook’s Terms of Service. So why was Facebook apparently siding with ISIS over Anonymous? After all, it was on the Cyber Brain page that our Counter Current News articles – calling out Facebook and Twitter for refusing to deactivate ISIS member propaganda and recruiting accounts – were first posted.

Whatever Facebook ends up deciding their reason was, they have apparently reversed it. Just as Anonymous Red Cult created the growing “Cyber Brain Reborn” group page, the social media giant bowed to pressure from hundreds of Anons who protested the take down of the popular Anonymous page.

Continued here:

The Masonics

You would be amazed about the people that will talk about the Masonics...in hushed tones...can't speak. won't speak.

It's a unspoken about cult, and believe me if you talk about it...well, it's a bit like scientology...you will be shunned.

A bit like I am shunned, by most supposed EX scientologists...and media...you expose the truth and you are dead. Nobody wants the truth...it's too hard to live with...

My Father went on a MISSION for L. Ron Hubbard in January of 1969 to AOSHDK(Denmark), by March of that year, he was an SP( Suppressive Person).

By late August/early September of that year 1969, my Father returned, to be be locked in a cupboard under the stairs at Abellund(AOSHDK), a whole night of bullbaiting, and thrown off the premisses before dawn, to make sure there were no wittnesses. And I say "At what cost?" Joe and Jill Van Staden ran that Mission...Jill ain't speaking but Joe say's "It was an adventure" You seperate Father and Daughter and that is an adventure? Really? You are a fucking arsehole!

And Neville Chamberlain says "let's all move on", it's about time we let this go" Yeah lets just forget this ever happened shall we? Good one! All forgotton!

When you are in scientology you are meat, dead meat, Liver, heart, kidneys, lungs, you are there for the taking...

And then of course we have the nation of ISLAM!

Truth is a variable...

Scientologists back in comm

It is my opinion that some people, not all by any means, who call for Miscavige’s blood are pissed off because they allowed themselves to compromise their “soul” and be humiliated.  Particularly, since it was at the hands of a twit like DM.

It may be hard to believe that there was a time on staff and in the SO when the spirit of play was often more prevalent than the burden of saving the planet – when people had a sense that they were involved in an adventure and not in a do or die struggle for survival.  This was before individual freedom of choice along with real ownership of the material and personal creation were labeled as suppressive tendencies.

Personally, I wouldn’t change my years on staff and as an SO member for anything.  As for my relationship with LRH; it was an extraordinary education to say the least.  The word robust comes to mind.   Being in close proximity to the old man for long periods of time, as was the case when captain of the flagship, required certain attitudinal adjustments.  Such as; don’t take things too seriously, which I never did in spite of being fired several times as captain.   I should add; it was never long before I was reinstated.

On one occasion after having been fired and put in a low condition by LRH, I decided to make full use of my luck.  Being relieved of my duties as captain I could now spend some evenings with my buddies in the bosun’s cabin drinking beer and getting acquainted with some of the latest female recruits from LA.  But what about the master at arms, did he not make sure I complied with the harsh conditions of my condition?   Suffice it to say, he tried but failed miserably.

On this occasion LRH lost his patience with me ambling my way up the conditions.  Everyday he sent a messenger to “product officer” me through the conditions.   When I finally reached emergency I was told “the commodore wants to see you”.  As I entered his office he said “your holiday is over” and reinstated me as captain.

The SO experience was never and still isn’t the same from one person to the next.  Those who did not lose sight of the game being played – those who remained in touch with their own sense of value and worth – the experience turned out to be more of an adventure than a grim duty.  I doubt if anyone in the SO today will think of their involvement in terms of an adventure.

Why was my time in the SO more fun than pain, more laughter than grief, experienced more as freedom than a trap?   Was it because I was lucky, because of divine intervention, a guardian angel or because I had friends in high places?   I have a suspicion that it was at least partly due to me not compromising my personal integrity to a point I would not easily be able to live with myself, which in a way amounted to not taking things too seriously.

For instance, when ordered by LRH to comm-ev my entire crew I refused.   On more than one occasion I intervened to correct the old man’s navigational decisions at the risk of having my head bitten off or worse.  For instance, we were approaching Tunis in Tunisia; visibility was limited by an eerie haze.  On the bridge was LRH who had the con and several other officers.  I had been fired as captain the day before, so took up position outside on the bridge wing.

Now, the entrance to Tunis is through a channel demarcated by two rows of buoys.  Go outside the buoys and the ship runs aground.   So here I am peering out into nowhere when I notice that we are actually outside the channel.  I go up to the officer of the watch and tell him he had better inform the commodore to change course.  Well, the officer went pale – imagine telling LRH he was wrong,   Anyway he wouldn’t do it so I walked up to LRH and said, “excuse me sir but we are entering Tunis on a wrong course”   His response was a loud “WHAT” in my face followed immediately by dashing into the chart room to check the course and order a change.  As expected, I was reinstated as captain the next day.

Ex- Scientologists are often asked; if it was so bad in, why didn’t you just leave?   As reflected in the answers by those questioned, it was never that simple or easy.   Nonetheless, there are many who just up and left when they had had enough.  In my case, when last on the Apollo, I decided the game was no longer what I had originally signed up for; the adventure had become a somber crusade.  Even though I had just completed a project for LRH compiling all the internships up to class 12 auditor, with which he was very pleased, I made it clear I was going back to South Africa.  In spite of the pressure on me to stay I left.

(See note below from LRH handed to me as I walked down the gangplank for the last time).              .

Yes, the old man could be a real SOB at times, but the idea that he gave nothing of value to the world is ludicrous.  As I see it, the image one has of LRH is one of perception – an image shaped by the prevailing mindset.  The truth of who LRH actually was is a variable, and considering the scope of the old man’s activities, we are looking at a diverse range of truths.   Anyway, this is pretty much the case with most of our assumptions about other people.

As for the philosophy and technology of L Ron Hubbard, even the most outspoken critics of Scientology who were once in and actually applied the technology, are hesitant to condemn its workability outright.  Regardless of what one thinks of the upper OT levels, the value of some procedures at the lower end of the bridge are easily confirmed   Take one of the simplest procedures, like hand squeezes for instance, of which I have done plenty.   Whether it was applied to a passed-out drunk, someone having an epileptic fit or someone knocked out, invariably in less than a minute they “returned” opened their eyes staring at me.

Getting someone out of a deep depression or heavy grief takes longer, but it works.  Yet, simple as it may seem, the procedure is unlikely to be effective unless the one applying it has had some auditor training.  The procedure only works to the degree that the practitioner’s TR’s are in – thank you to the genius of LRH.  So, my suggestion to those who are out and have totally written off the years they have been involved; don’t through the baby out with the bathwater.

People who outright condemn Scientology without ever having experienced it and Scientologists in general, in or out, have something in common.   Both sides believe they have “the truth”.  Personally I believe many critics will be surprised at what they find should they take a closer look at the subject.

Moreover, it has been my experience for quite some time that there are truths beyond the truths of Scientology and that many Scientologists will be surprised at what they find should they care to look.

They may find the shift in perspective required to break through the ceiling they are currently up against.

"Appears mental" does not just apply to L. Ron Hubbard.

Poet13c on said:

He had his shit together most certainly, Andrew, and it’s kind of you to make the observation. During my brief stay on the Apollo 73-74, LRH was astoundingly calm and collected. From my observation:

1) he worked as many hours as anyone else. I took very little sleep on post, but could see that LRH took just as few hours as myself, with many hours working on his own during the night;
2) managing to stay afloat during the oil shortage – a huge concern at the time;
3) constantly harassed by staff as he came on deck, especially Int Managers firing, ‘solve this problem for me, Sir’ type of questions, close staff, and wild-cat Messengers (man, they were crazy – sometimes he had to shout);
4) managing the ship, supervising the Apollo AllStars, planning sailing courses, writing ship hats, navigation and seamanship data, including radio and foreign-language comms, weather-forecasting, senior staff problems, writing for the OODs, keeping his in-tray empty;
5) running the GO, and monitoring WW stats, initiating programs;
6) monitoring the WW political scene, as outside forces were ramping up their covert ops on him and Scientology, the AMA and psyche groups – yet he still managed to sneak in and out of the US to personally handle sits;
7) churn out mind-bogglingly brilliant and incredibly innovative tech in HCOB’s and HCOPL’s such as Word-Clearing, Data Series, Purif;
8) research and pilot tech in the face of robotism, literalism, out-R, fawning, and at times incredulous staff, and run his own case (still on the Mk VI);
9) turn out for social events like marriages, birthdays, parties, find time for his family;
10) lectures, briefings, interviews and socialising with guests, including at least on one occasion one of his old-time writing associates;
11) take time out to ride one of his many motorbikes ashore;
12) CS folders;
13) with all these strands, plan the future of Scn and accommodate the relentless expansion of orgs and success of his ideas.

And that’s just what I knew as a lowly FSO crew member. Now that we have more information, there was also the problem with org plants and the RV program.

Not the least of LRH’s problems was attempting to obtain both duplication and comprehension of his despatches to the GO, who without MSH on the lines, were running rampant behind his back, returning good roads and fair weather replies when local GO stats were far from that, especially in the UK. I still believe to this day, that the attack on Paulette Cooper was a personal mission by a certain GO St Hiller, attempting to ingratiate herself to LRH; on the one hand, sending him misleading reports, and on the other, using his ethics advices as a shield for her own horrible personality. And yes, I’m violating some shuns, but when did LRH while still on lines make such a catastrophic blunder? He had tougher opponents than Ms Cooper, who let’s face it was just a poorly-informed chancer with no other credit to her name before or since than her brush with Scientology. How on Earth was Paulette Cooper given the status of enemy of Scientology, when she was ostensibly a nobody out to make a quick buck? LRH would have spotted that immediately, accorded her every civility, and wished her on her way, as he did with the Granada interview.

Factor in good old-fashioned admin (Chinese-style) org in-fighting and jockeying for position amongst the senior execs, Scn promotion and recruitment with the out-dating Personality Test and Letter Registrar system, changes to the Org Board and Bridge.

But above all else, far and away LRH’s abiding preoccupation would have been how to get more auditors trained and auditing. Sod the CoS, sod the ships, sod the governments and assorted anti’s, SP’s, PTS’s, wogs, DB’s, cases, bank – who cares, really? I’m sure he didn’t, as he often said.
Just get out there and audit, for Pete’s sake!

Without a doubt, LRH was steady and sure of what he was doing, and used what he had to appeal to as many people and viewpoints as possible.
Finally, there is one glaring omission: what did LRH make for himself out of all this effort?

Harassment Injunction in Ireland

I have been avoiding commenting on this, but feel I must...

Pete Griffiths is and has been a friend of mine for some time, I first met him in 2008 outside St. Hill at a protest. He has done some terrific work in the exposure of scientology and has put on many conferences and he is to be applauded for his out standing work. However, I am at a loss to see what is going on with him right now...I have expressed my dismay privately and he has not replied. I did not like what I saw being done at St. Hill in 2014 at the IAS protest - dawn raid and I have seen the protest video in question which cannot be seen now following a scientologist woman Zabrina Collins in Ireland, I was even more dismayed by the protest procedures.

It seems I am not the only one...

Background to the Harassment injunction concerning Pete Griffith and John McGhee

I can only hope that both Pete and John come to their senses. From what I could see it is the same tacticts used by scientologists to intimidate protesters. If these tactics are used, then it will make it more and more difficult for future protests. If key ex members all end up with restraining orders, scientology is going to call that a very big win...intimidation and stalking is what the scientologists do, not peaceful protesters.

It's a very sad day...

Scisis...my thoughts for the day

I read something on ESMB(Ex scientologist message board) earlier on tonight that I thought was quite funny, it was highly entertaining. You cannot access it now unless you are a member, and I am not. It says you are a member and all is forgiven, after you have been banned but you go and try and gain access. You are not allowed to move any where on the message board. You cannot post, you cannot even access your private communications...it's all a fucking farse.I know because I have tried it several times. The last time I actually got in, I wanted to know about Bob Minton and ended up staying up all night in order to have access to Arnie Lerma's Bob Minton thread...YOU are not allowed to talk about Robert Minton.

YOU are also NOT allowed to talk about Claire Popham...Commodores Messenger 1968...It's Not allowed, is it Janis? David Miscavige must be laughing his arse off right now, wondering just how far I will go...well let me tell you this...I will go all the way, because scientology and L. Ron Hubbard absolutely ruined my family, and more importantly, ruined my Father...they tortured him...because they could...

Jimmy Saville...long may he rot in hell, just like L. Ron Hubbard...used his profile to claim magnificent deeds, he raised millions for charity whilst comitting the most horrendous things, unimaginable things...most of us in the real world cannot even comprehend...he was knighted and yet behind the scenes many people knew he was a pedophile...they let it go...

L.Ron Hubbard was according to so called religious doctrine... a...wait for it...humaniterian...what utter fucking crap!

Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun...Your prison...Your belief!

You never even knew him...

Arnie Lerma banned from ESMB

Arnie Lerma has been banned on ESMB for being a conspiricy theorist...how quick are all the people in the past that have thanked him, agreed with his posts suddenly decided there is something wrong with him?The last time I saw him, he looked perfectly healthy to me, tweaking his moustashe to make me feel comfortable because he was about to tell me off ;)Admittedly that was a while ago, but then if you are going to call Arnie a crank, then you better add me to the cranks list also. Oh, I forgot you already did that, I was banned ages ago.

And, in honour of Mr. Lerma I will leave you with this written by Robert Vaughn Young...

Apparently Robert Minton has been found as Scientology's latest / newest Who. In case you don't know how important this is, let me explain.
First, for those who do not know who I am, I spent nearly 21 years in the cult, most of it in Department 20 (the Guardian's Office, later renamed the Office of Special Affairs), the section that finds "Whos" and attacks them. My credentials can be found in an article I wrote for Quill, the magazine of the Society of Professional Journalists, which is archived at http://www.scientology.no.net/archive/media/young-quill.html Other posts I have made about Scientology and its criminal Dept 20 can be found at http://www.entheta.net/entheta/1stpersn/rvy/ and http://www.islandnet.com/~martinh/rvy/rvy.htm
On to Minton as The Who.
Americans are infamously suspicious of conspiracies, and L. Ron Hubbard is a classic example. But while others dream up massive conspiracies to explain various government actions or UFOs or anything else that cannot be otherwise explained, Hubbard dreamed them up to explain his own failures. As far as Hubbard was concerned, he was never responsible for the problems that beset him or any Dianetics or Scientology organization. When you see him "eating crow" (one of his favorite phrases) it is always self-serving, as in his ubiquitous directive Keeping Scientology Working, where he tells us how he learned it was a mistake to believe that anyone but he could build the Scientology system, and how when he tried it, the system nearly failed and thus he had to most benificently take control, all for our own good, of course. That's an example of when he admits to a "mistake."
But when it comes to a problem or a criticism, he cannot own up to it. His view and the view that is beaten into everyone's head in the cult is that when you succeed, Hubbard gets the credit. When you fail, you (or someone else) will take the blame.
So it is with the organization. Their problems with Germany or the Internet or the media or Clearwater are not of their making. No, no!
This is where the conspiracies come in.
Hubbard Used Conspiracy To Blame Others
Since the early 1950s, Hubbard has been blaming other people and organizations for his problems. Since his death his successors have continued the same tradition. The fact that these problems have never resolved has always been explained away by the idea that the "most basic" link in the conspiracy of suppression hasn't been found.
The common thread has been psychiatry and psychiatrists, whom Hubbard blamed not only for creating crime, poverty, economic collapse and political chaos around the world but also for inventing sex. Yes, Hubbard said psychiatry invented sex and that is how the psychiatric conspiracy controls the world. (No, there is not yet a UFO coming behind the next comet but there were UFOs that came to Earth 75 million years ago and you have some of the passengers in your body. But that is another conspiracy of Hubbard's. Let's return to the simpler ones.)
Hubbard believed that a man was known not only by his friends but by his enemies. Who wants to have weaklings at either side? What would the world think of you if your problems were due to the West Mountainside Junior High School Harmonica Band? No, one needs better enemies than that to impress people and so Hubbard began to dream them up.
I GET TO READ THE SECRET DOCUMENTS
I read about some of them after I got into Scientology in 1968, by merely reading some of his policy letters and bulletins. One can't avoid them. And so many times he would say how it was all "documented" and "proven" that there were massive conspiracies out to stop him and Scientology. So when I joined Department 20 in 1971 (then known as the Guardian's Office; the name wasn't changed to the Office of Special Affairs until 1981) and went to USGO headquarters in Los Angeles for extensive training, I was very excited to learn about these conspiracies. By moving into that echelon that dealt with them directly to protect Scientology, I was going to learn WHO was behind them all. I would finally see the "proof."
I was given "secret" files that came from clippings and reports from the Intelligence Bureau spies and operatives. (That bureau has been renamed the "Information Division.") For weeks I poured over the boxes but -- alas -- I could not find who was doing it! Unfortunately, the "proof" was so "hot" that it had to be kept with him and wife Mary Sue in their locked safe on the ship!
Well, I was already caught up in the idea, so it merely whetted my appetite. After all, it couldn't be Hubbard's/Scientology's fault, could it?
HUBBARD'S EVALS TO FIND THE WHO
In 1970, Hubbard began to write what became known as the "Data Series," supposedly analyzing for the first time how the human mind really worked and how data was handled. The first in the series was called "The Anatomy of Thought" and the second "Logic," to give an idea of his approach. Of course, this became The Official/Only Way to analyze information. The official name of such an analysis was an "evaluation," or, as we always called, an "eval."
Evals had a form, starting with the "situation." A situation was a major departure from an ideal scene, e.g., a lost lawsuit, a large media story that is critical, a long-term unhandled critic, etc. Alt.religion.scientology would be an unhandled situation, for example.
By a series of steps one comes down to find the "Why" of the situation. The right Why, Hubbard says, will "open the door to handling." The Why is followed by the steps needed to handle the situation and turn things around.
Every Why has a Who, or a group of Whos. They become the target of the handlings. If it is an in-the-organization eval, the Who might be the top executive or a section. (When in-the-org, the why will usually be some non-application of Hubbard technology. It is NEVER NEVER NEVER due to the application of Hubbard. Never! Not in the org or outside of it.)
But the wildest evals are the ones that concern Scientology's external problems, the ones they create.
    HUBBARD'S CHANGING WHYS AND WHOS
Hubbard's earliest Who was the Communist Party. He launched Dianetics in the midst of fervent anti-communist sentiment in the early 1950s. Communist-hunting was a disgusting fad and Hubbard jumped on the bandwagon, writing letters to the FBI blaming his problems on the communists. He began to name some of his staff and even his former wife as top communist agents. A perceptive agent at the Bureau wrote "Appears mental" on one of his letters and threw it in the file. Had Hubbard known this, he would have gone after the FBI as part of the conspiracy.
Later Hubbard's Who became the National Association of Mental Health, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association. When the FBI didn't help him, it then became the FBI and when the IRS gave him problems it then became the IRS. Along the way we had the Better Business Bureau and the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Justice. In the UK, it was the Home Office, MI5, MI6, various members of Parliament... The list just went on and on and on.
Each time, he fed the information to the membership as if he were letting them in on a Top Secret document. (To keep your orientation, atomic weapons and UFOs were also becoming news. People were starting to learn and think about "government secrets" in a way they had not before.) Each time, Hubbard announced he had made another "major breakthrough" with yet another discovery as to the great conspiracy to destroy mankind, i.e., criticize him. Each time, it produced a flood of support and more money and more recruits. But, inevitably, the criticism returned. The "handlings" no more stuck than Jello nailed to a wall. Since Hubbard (and wife Mary Sue) were the only ones coming up with these, Hubbard needed more and better excuses.
SNOW WHITE, INTERPOL & NAZI CONSPIRACY
When he was sailing the Mediterranean and being chased out of one country after another, he couldn't take the blame, of course. Oh, occasionally, he blamed one of the crew members for screwing up his orders, but that couldn't explain the enormous dislike that he and his organization encountered wherever they went. So he had to come up with more conspiracies and each one had to be larger.
That was how he found Interpol as the Who in 1973. According to Hubbard's Snow White eval, Interpol was the "conveyor belt" for a tight-knit conspiracy that was working out of (then) West Germany. He designed the Snow White Program to find and destroy them. Unfortunately, the FBI got in the way, sending wife Mary Sue and 10 others to jail and naming Hubbard as an unindicted coconspirator. Of course, Hubbard wasn't to blame for that, even though he wrote the program and approved everything.
Now Scientology is having trouble with Germany and the Internet, not to mention the NY Times, the SP Times, the Clearwater and Florida authorities, the Greek government, Time magazine, the (original) Cult Awareness Network, FACTNet, Wollersheim, "60 Minutes" and several other "suppressive" individuals and groups. So Dept 20 has to go looking for the common thread. Here's one: me. I've spoken with all but the Greek government. (Sorry, guys, but if someone will give me an email address, I'll be happy to complete the collection.) I've even been to Germany three times. Germany. Where the Secret Cabal is headquartered, plotting daily how to destroy "mankind's only hope." (One really has to appreciate the amount of paranoia, megalomania and narcissism that is required to think that so many people and organizations have nothing better to do than to set up "war rooms" and hire full time personnel merely to deal with L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology. On the other hand, imagine how important it makes one feel, to think that one is a target of so many entities!)
    ENTER BOB MINTON
When I was in deposition sometime in the last few months, they hammered me with questions about Bob Minton. I think it was from that deposition that they really got their "Who." Someone took the information and did their eval and found that I was connected to Minton and so was Wollersheim and FACTNet and that was when -- as Hubbard liked to call it -- they had a "blue flash" and realized that Minton was The Paymaster!
So Minton is The New Who!
But of course, he's merely paying for someone else and they have to stay on Germany because Hubbard told them so, so that means someone is paying Minton out of Germany to pay everyone to attack Scientology. There is no room for a "fact" that Minton came AFTER Wollersheim, FACTNet, alt.religion.scientology and me. To the Hubbard method of "evaluation," Minton is a Dream Who. He is connected to all the "enemies" and he HAS to be connected back to Germany. (What is ideal is to find a relative -- no matter how distant -- or a business connection. If all else fails, see if he drives a Mercedes or uses German products. I kid you not! It is that same insane McCarthy-ite sense of connection that used to drive the witch hunts of the 50s, and for good reason. That was when Hubbard was learning how to find conspiracies and he took his methods and techniques from the daddy of them all: Sen. McCarthy.)
    MINTON-GERMANS-NAZIS-PSYCHS-XENU
Right now, Dept 20 (and this now includes the Religious Technology Center or RTC, which controls all Dept 20 actions) can't get their fingers on enough information to really wrap up the Minton-German-Nazi-Psychs-Xenu connection and so they want to take him into deposition. Right now, they are drooling all over their keyboards, with woodies you wouldn't believe, firmly convinced that as soon as they can force his to answer all their blistering questions, The Great International/Intergalactic Conspiracy will open. The Who will be found. The Handling will open the door, the clouds will part and the birds will sing and all the stops will be off: Scientology will be free to take over the entire world -- excuse me, I should have said Clear The Planet!
That is why they are hammering on Minton. Dept 20 has been taking a horrible beating lately. They've lost some major court rulings and Wollersheim is breathing down their necks. They lost ground with the public school issue in California. The Greek government has come down on them again. Germany is hammering away. The NY Times has brought them into public view. The CW/FL authorities are eager to move on criminal charges. "60 Minutes" has dragged them into the national TV spotlight and there is more to come. If any section was in need of a major boost, it is RTC/Dept 20 and one of the best ways to get a woodie there is with a new exciting WHO!
And the Who is - the evelope please! - Robert Minton! (cheers/applause)
That is why Minton is here, Minton is there, Robert Minton is everywhere!
SO THEY GET MINTON INTO DEPOSITION...
So let's just for the moment imagine - just for the heck of it - that Minton is just a regular guy, doing what he says he is doing -- that he simply stepped in to help a few people. Let's imagine that they take him into depo and that is all they can get. Let's imagine they hammer him with questions and they can't get the Minton-German-Nazi-Psych-Xenu connection completed. Why not? Simple, they'll say: He lied! And so they will send out their PIs and start digging into it some more, certain that the connections are there and that they simply must find them.
In the meantime, what you see happening with Minton on ARS is they are trying to set him up for his deposition. Here's how it works (and I will leave out the first few more obvious steps in this LRH-eval-logic):
    1. Minton is a suppressive. Evidence: He likes people they call suppressive.
    2. All suppressives have hidden crimes.
    Evidence: LRH maxim.
    3. Minton has hidden crimes.
    Evidence: LRH maxim.
    4. People with hidden crimes don't want them exposed.
    Evidence: LRH maxim.
    5. Minton doesn't want his crimes exposed.
    Evidence: LRH maxim.
    6. Threatening to expose the person's crimes makes them turn and run.
    Evidence: LRH maxim.
So you can see how an LRH eval (and their mind) works. (These are, by the way, the basic maxims behind most of their tactics. But don't try to run it backwards, by pointing out how Hubbard ran and went into hiding and asking if that meant he had crimes. That is a suppressive question.)
    MINTON'S TERRIFIED (THEY THINK)
This gives an immediate "handling" of Minton on ARS: hammer at his depo, asking questions as to what he is hiding etc. This will make him go pale, shake in fear and run. (Remember that this tech is from Hubbard so you can correctly extrapolate that this is how HE operated.)
The "hate crime" button is not hooked directly into Minton but part of a larger strategy of "positioning" and handling ARS. It seems as if there is a legal strategy here from one of their high-paid attorneys that if they can make ARS into a "hate crime" area and get Minton as the paymaster, they can build a conspiracy case that can give them a new lawsuit that was part of the original LRH Snow White Strategy!
Is this all coming clear now? (I can't believe I can follow this all!)
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR WODDIE
At one point in the mid-1970s LRH wanted a massive lawsuit brought against the government conspirators and, of course, the Guardian's Office complied. Gawd, I can't remember all of the defendants but it included Interpol, the CIA, FBI, IRS and any other agency they could find to name. (I think the Post Office was even included.) It became known as the "IP 2" suit (IP for Interpol and 2 for the 2nd one against Interpol). It finally failed miserably in the mid-eighties, because Hubbard was named as the managing agent of Scientology and, as such, was ordered into deposition. He would never appear, of course, so the suit had to be dropped.
But details like that are always conveniently forgotten. The fact that the "giant conspiracy" lawsuit of 20 years ago failed merely proves that the Real Who had not been found. Now with Minton, they "know" (and Scientology is "knowing how to know") they are on the verge of getting the Real Who and the Real Why so they can get the Real Handling. And that might be another massive lawsuit. The problem is how to structure such a suit, since it would involve not only private citizens but also the German government and several major media. (They would LOVE to include Time-Life.) But hey, that's why they pay up to $500 an hour to their attorneys, to figure out details like that.
That is the opportunity they have now: the full revitalization and vindication of LRH's original Snow White Program, a chance to FINALLY expose the REAL WHO behind the Psych-Nazi-Xenu conspiracy: BOB MINTON!
Oh, what a woodie they have!
